Dear WeReachout member,

Best wishes from WeReachout. Hope you are doing great. Here is an update on WeReachout and its activities since March of this year. The past few months have been significant in raising awareness about WeReachout and its activities and board members have been focusing on this at several forums in and around the bay area. These activities are generating interest in our programs and also inviting the attention of other organizations and influential valley professionals. All this augurs well for the future growth of WeReachout and significantly helping us in our vision to reach out to more students and shaping their future.

1. August 2007

- The WeReachout board of directors has been renewed and revamped to better address WeReachout's vision and goals. We now have a great team in place to take this to the next step.

- The website has been enhanced with more features for sponsors to view their contributions, money distribution to their students, balances and other updates from their sponsored students

- Met with an influential Valley professional who invited us for discussing our vision and model

2. July 2007

- WeReachout has started the sponsorship process for new students for the academic year 2007 – 2008

- We have received an IRS query that has been addressed

- Money transfer to India to start off this year's sponsorship process

3. June 2007

- The WeReachout annual meeting was conducted on 2nd June and was received very well by attendees. It was a fun event filled with information sessions and cool entertainment. This has also kindled interest in WeReachout and sponsorship of students from several attendees getting to know WeReachout for the first time.

4. May 2007

- On May 6th WeReachout setup an informational kiosk at KZSU 90.1 100th Show at the Campbell community center and several attendees to the event visited the kiosk and expressed an interest in our activities.

- May 12th – WeReachout participated by setting up an informational booth at the India Fusion Dance Show at The Point, San Jose. Several attendees visited the booth for more information

- A significant amount of time was spent for preparing for the annual meet, a very busy time in making our first annual event a grand success

5. April 2007

- On April 21st WeReachout setup an informational booth at the Bay Area Tamil Manram (BATM) Chithiraik Kondaattam 2007, ICC Milpitas and was received well by the audience.

- WeReachout members Participated in the Indian Community Center's (ICC) Sister Organizations Meeting to understand how it can help WeReachout and raise awareness about WeReachout and its activities

6. March 2007

- WeReachout was added as a Kaiser's suggested non-profit organizations list for their employees to make contributions to.

- Made arrangements and reserved the ICC auditorium for our annual meet scheduled for June 2nd 2007.
